Summer Intern Spotlight – Catherine and Nicole
Meet our 2025 summer interns!
Since May, Catherine and Nicole have been valuable members of the Pure Solutions team, working across various aspects of the company. As the summer comes to a close, we caught up with them to learn more about their intern experience.
Catherine MacLeod – Finance and Business Development Intern
Q: What is your role at Pure Solutions?
A: I’m a Finance and Business Development intern here at Pure Solutions where I help in supporting Client Experience/Sales, Operations, and Finance.
Q: What is something you’ve learned during your time at Pure Solutions?
A: During my time at Pure Solutions, I’ve gained valuable knowledge and experience in working with clients and adapting to any situation. I’ve also developed a deeper understanding of the effort and coordination required to run a company like this. I especially enjoyed learning how to create and send proposals and navigate billing and payment processes. I’m looking forward to returning in the fall to continue building my skills and gaining even more experience!
Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
A: I enjoy going for runs/walks and spending time with family and friends!
Q: What’s some advice you’d give to future interns?
A: Some advice I’d give to future interns joining the Pure Solutions’ team would be to always ask questions, don’t be scared to ask for help, and always be willing to learn!
Nicole Donati – Business Development Intern
Q: What is your role at Pure Solutions?
A: At Pure Solutions, I have the role of business management intern. A typical day in my role starts with checking the inbox and responding to client’s emails and texts. Throughout the rest of the day, I work on any tasks I am assigned. These tasks can range from sales calls, informing clients about account balances, or research for extending our business. In addition, it is important we stay alert throughout the day with incoming texts, emails, and phone calls to answer customers in a timely manner.
Q: What is your favorite part about working at Pure Solutions?
A: My favorite part about working at Pure Solutions is working alongside the team at the office. The atmosphere in the office has always been very welcoming, energetic, and eager to tend to our customers. I enjoy working as a team to come up with the best solutions for our clients. It is a great feeling when our clients give positive feedback, whether it be with our technicians or the office.
Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
A: Outside of work, I spend the majority of my time with friends and family. We enjoy going to the beach, cooking at home, and traveling. As a current student at the University of Massachusetts Amherst, I look forward to my classes and spending time with my roommates this fall.
Q: What’s some advice you’d give to future interns?
A: Some advice I would give to future interns is to keep an open mind when first starting at Pure Solutions even if you are unfamiliar with the services we offer. Everyone in the office will guide you through each step of the way and prepare you to be a successful intern. As an intern, you get a taste of everything such as marketing efforts, generating sales, and daily operations. Getting to dive deeper into these areas of Pure Solutions grew my appreciation and understanding of the critical factors that it takes to operate a thriving business.
