Meet Carina Wachtler, our July Employee Spotlight! Carina is Pure Solutions’ Finance and Operations Manager, who joined our team as a full-time member this May. At Pure Solutions, she is involved in a variety of projects that ensure the company can run smoothly, including improving our payment systems, running reports, and communicating with clients.
Q: How long have you been working at Pure Solutions?
A: I have been working full-time since the end of May, but have interned at Pure Solutions since the summer of 2023.
Q: What is your favorite part about working at Pure Solutions?
A: What I love most about working at Pure Solutions is being part of a team that not only believes in our organic mission, but is made up of genuinely great people whose passion and positivity make every day inspiring!
Q: What motivates you to wake up and go to work?
A: My daily motivation comes from knowing my efforts with Pure Solutions are shaping a healthier environment while creating safe, welcoming outdoor spaces for families to enjoy!
Q: What’s a memorable moment you’ve had while working here?
A: A memorable moment for me at Pure Solutions was being part of the interview process of our now-current team members. I didn’t realize at the time just how closely we’d end up working together or how much they’d shape my experience here. Watching their growth and being able to collaborate with them daily has been a memorable experience.
Q: What do you enjoy doing outside of work?
A: I enjoy going to the gym, dancing, and travelling!
Q: What is something most people don’t know about you?
A: Most people don’t know that Portuguese was the first language I spoke!
Q: What are you passionate about?
A: I am passionate about trying new restaurants and documenting the experiences. I find joy in exploring everything from tucked-away neighborhood gems to buzzy new openings!
Q: What is something you learned at Pure Solutions?
A: Before working at Pure Solutions, I used to think clover was just a weed, but I’ve learned it’s actually super beneficial for your lawn. It improves soil health, attracts pollinators, and ultimately creates a soft, durable lawn that’s great for pets and easy to care for.
Q: What is one tip you would give homeowners about lawn care or pest control?
A: The advice I would give to homeowners is to start the season early—proactive lawn care and pest control are crucial for long-term success. Creating a solid watering schedule and beginning treatments before ticks and mosquitoes surge gives your yard a head start.
